Frequently Asked Questions
Coat of Many Sweaters
Concrete Sculpture- What is "Milestone"?
- Milestone is a cement similar to Portland cement. It's known for its high level of color saturation and ability to maintain strong color without fading. It's widest use is in the construction trades, as a veneer on walls, countertops and floors. Because it is considerably more expensive than ordinary cement products, veneer applications make sense. These bright color finishes are excellent on sculptural projects as well.
- Where can I purchase Milestone? . . . purchase white cement?
- Milestone can only be purchased in one location: The Artist's Gallery (Artisan Finishes), 902 First Avenue South, in Seattle. (206)719 8290. They are also able to ship, UPS.
White cement can only be purchased at masonry yards, where cement and sand are sold.
